This isn’t a get-rich-quick scheme for us, it’s a passion. Most of our staff has been writing for years and have been frustrated with other platforms out there. We constantly talk with our Beta audience to learn what they like and what they don’t so we can fine-tune things into the best platform we can. We care about making publishing accessible to everyone – which is why everything from writing to publishing can be done on StoryForge without spending a dime.
None of the core functionality on StoryForge is locked behind a paywall. You can go from writing your title all the way to writing “The End” without having to spend any money. Feedback is free too. Share your story out to just your friends or the whole writing community. People can leave you feedback about it as a whole or identify specific parts of your writing that they want to react to.
On other writing websites, your work can get lost easily. On StoryForge, we thrive on community. We are a group of readers and writers who want to find new and exciting stories, and then provide the author with feedback to make them even better. You can share your work with the entire community or just small groups. It’s up to you who can read your story and when.
To help you stay motivated to read, write, and edit, we’re gamifying the entire process. Level up your way and earn rewards and Quills, our in-game currency. If You Want To Publish Your Book, You Will.
We’re not like your main publishing houses who are just looking for the next Hunger Games or Divergent or whatever. If you’re an author who has put their blood, sweat, and tears into a book that you want published, we’re going to publish it for you. There’s no begging for contracts or trying to get Netflix to pick you up. If your work is deemed ready by its readers and you want to publish it, we’ll help you do it. What other writing website can say that?
