Publishing is hard, mysterious, overwhelming, and often silent.

Amazing stories, promising ideas, even polished work can get turned away without explanation. Traditional publishers and agents are stretched thin. They can’t respond to every submission. They can’t mentor every new voice. But that doesn’t mean your story isn’t worth telling. And it definitely doesn’t mean you have to figure it all out alone.

After years of work, Sabrina Rucker decided to publish her graphic novel. She didn’t realize that writing was the easy part. Rejection after rejection was beyond frustrating, it was soul-crushing. Was her work that bad? Was she? And if her work sucked, she didn’t know what to change.

We created StoryForge to bring a new path to the current oversaturated system.

Here, feedback is easy to get, growth is visible, and progress is celebrated. Every revision earns rewards, every critique you give helps someone else and makes you better too! Your stories grow with you, gaining visibility and fans even before you are ready to publish. Best of all, you always know how far you are from publication!

As your story reaches its final polished form, you will already have a community of loving fans. As you level up, you can create your own cozy library to work in, can unlock rewards and level up, and are guided every step of the way by our friendly mascot, Draft the Cat.

The communities on StoryForge help writers get feedback so that they can continue on their journey to being the best writer they can be – and if they so choose, a published author as well.

When it comes to publishing, our system isn’t ready just yet. But when it is, we want to publish anything that you feel you’re ready to put out into the public space. Our opinions around publishing your work aren’t going to change if you’ve written a tried and true formulaic love story or a genre-busting cozy science fiction epic. If you want to publish a book, we’re going to help you do it.
